The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, has led a delegation to the Jubilee House on Wednesday, 26th March, 2025 to pay a courtesy call to the Vice President of Ghana, Her Excellency Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
The visit was to formally congratulate Her Excellency, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang as Ghana’s first female Vice President. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, herself a trailblazer in academia, was the first female Vice-Chancellor of a public university in Ghana, having served at UCC from 2008 to 2012.
Speaking during the meeting, Prof. Boampong expressed the University community’s pride in seeing one of their own ascend to such a high national office.
