According to the Ghana Health Service, there have been 180 confirmed cases out of 1,929 suspected cases in the region. The outbreak has spread across 20 out of the 22 districts, with the Awutu Senya Municipality leading with 565 suspected cases, followed by Agona West and Effutu.”

Health officials have conducted over 4,000 contact tracing efforts and have placed 17 individuals under treatment. The Regional Health Directorate has intensified public education campaigns, urging residents to practice proper hygiene and avoid unsanitary food sources.”
