United Soccer League Championship side Texoma FC have announced the signing of Ghanaian forward Solomon Asante.
The 34-year-old joins the USL outfit for the 2025 season after seven years in the second tier of American football.
He is expected play a pivotal role at the expansion side.
“Solomon is a special player and is an incredible announcement for any club,” said Texoma President Ben Watson. “We are blessed to be welcoming a player that has won virtually every accolade across the USL.”
“You look at the career he has had, the awards he has won throughout his USL career – I am incredibly excited to have him as a part of the team,” added Texoma Head Coach Adrian Forbes.
“Besides being a goalscoring and attacking threat, he is a fantastic human being who will be looking to guide and mentor our younger attackers to follow in his footsteps.”
Asante was two-times Player of the Year in the United Soccer League while playing for Phoenix Rising.
He also played for Indy Eleven and Las Vegas Lights.
