Why NDC can’t sack Jean Mensa despite working for the NPP—NDC’s Ofosu Kwakye finally reveals
Government Spokesperson Felix Ofosu Kwakye has explained why President John Drmanai Mahama doesn’t want to sack Electoral Commission boss Jean Mensa despite her shenanigans against the NDC party.
According to him, the Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson cannot be removed unless there is evidence of misconduct or she reaches the mandatory retirement age.
Speaking on “Point of View” on Channel One TV, monitored by Ghbase News, he stated, “The EC Chair has security of tenure. You cannot remove her unless she reaches retirement age or there is stated misconduct.”
He added that President John Mahama has not received any evidence to warrant her removal and will not dismiss anyone without due process .
