The Ghana Education Service (GES) has moved to reassure teachers nationwide following concerns raised about the ongoing registration process for the 2025 teacher promotion exercise.
In a press release issued on Thursday, August 21, GES acknowledged two pressing issues brought to its attention:
- the inclusion of all eligible teachers, particularly those whose last promotion or appointment occurred in or before 2021, and
- widespread technical difficulties faced by applicants attempting to access and complete the online application process.
The GES says no eligible teacher will be excluded from the process.
“The application is open to all teachers who received their last promotion or appointment in or before 2021,” the statement clarified.

The Service also addressed the technical glitches affecting the online registration platform, which have sparked frustration among some applicants.
GES assured educators that the system is currently undergoing technical enhancements to resolve these issues. Teachers encountering challenges have been urged to remain calm and patient as these improvements are implemented
“The Management takes full responsibility for the technical challenge and will solve it,” the release stated.
Reiterating its dedication to transparency, GES emphasised its goal of ensuring a fair and credible promotion process. “No teacher due for promotion will be left behind,” it concluded.
